حينئذ امر الملك فاحضروا دانيال وطرحوه في جب الأسود. اجاب الملك وقال لدانيال ان الهك الذي تعبده دائما هو ينجيك.

Da bestürmten jene Männer den König und sprachen zu dem König: Wisse, o König! es ist medisches und persisches Gesetz, daß jedes vom König erlassene Verbot und Gebot unwiderruflich ist!
