Και ειπον προς τον Ιησουν, Βεβαιως ο Κυριος παρεδωκεν εις τας χειρας ημων πασαν την γην· και μαλιστα παντες οι κατοικοι του τοπου ενεκρωθησαν εκ του φοβου ημων.

And they said unto Joshua, Truly Jehovah hath delivered into our hands all the land; and moreover all the inhabitants of the land do melt away before us.

And they said to Joshua, Truly, the Lord has given all the land into our hands; and all the people of the land have become like water because of us.

And they said, “The Lord has delivered this entire land into our hands, and all its inhabitants have been struck down by fear.”

And they said to Joshua, Of a surety Jehovah has given the whole land into our hands, and even all the inhabitants of the land faint because of us.

And said: the Lord hath delivered all this land into our hands, and all the inhabitants thereof are overthrown with fear.

Also they saide vnto Ioshua, Surely the Lord hath deliuered into our handes all the lande: for euen all the inhabitants of the countrey faint because of vs.

And they said unto Joshua, Truly the LORD hath delivered into our hands all the land; for even all the inhabitants of the country do faint because of us. {faint: Heb. melt}

Og de sa til Josva: Herren har gitt hele landet i vår hånd; alle landets innbyggere holder endog på å forgå av angst for oss.

«Herren hev gjeve heile landet i våre hender,» sagde dei til Josva, «og alle som bur der, er so rædde oss at dei skjelv.»
