Wie möget ihr sagen: Wir sind weise, und das Gesetz Jehovas ist bei uns? Siehe, fürwahr, zur Lüge hat es gemacht der Lügengriffel der Schriftgelehrten.

Wie dürft ihr sprechen: Weise sind wir und verfügen über das Gesetz Jahwes! - Jawohl! aber in Lüge hat es der Lügengriffel von Schreibern verwandelt.
Πως λεγετε, Ειμεθα σοφοι, και ο νομος του Κυριου ειναι μεθ' ημων; ιδου, βεβαιως εις ματην εγεινε τουτο· ο καλαμος των γραμματεων ειναι ψευδης.

How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of Jehovah is with us? But, behold, the false pen of the scribes hath wrought falsely.
How is it that you say, We are wise and the law of the Lord is with us? But see, the false pen of the scribes has made it false.
A multitude of waters cannot extinguish love, nor can a river overwhelm it. If a man were to give all the substance of his house in exchange for love, he would despise it as nothing.
How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of Jehovah is with us? Behold, certainly the lying pen of the scribes hath made it falsehood.
