Ty pak a synové tvoji s tebou ostříhati budete kněžství svého při všech věcech přináležejících k oltáři, a kteréž jsou za oponou, a sloužiti budete. Úřad kněžství vašeho darem jsem vám dal, protož, přistoupil-li by kdo cizí, umře.

Συ δε και οι υιοί σου μετά σου θέλετε φυλάττει την ιερατείαν σας εις πάντα τα του θυσιαστηρίου και τα εντός του παραπετάσματος, και θέλετε κάμνει την υπηρεσίαν. Δώρον έδωκα την υπηρεσίαν της ιερατείας σας· και όστις ξένος πλησιάση, θέλει θανατόνεσθαι.

And thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priesthood for everything of the altar, and for that within the veil; and ye shall serve: I give you the priesthood as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

And you and your sons with you are to be responsible as priests for the altar and everything on it, and everything inside the veil; you are to do the work of priests; I have given you your position as priests; and any other man who comes near will be put to death.

But as for you and your sons: guard the priesthood. For all that pertains to the service of the altar and of what is beyond the veil shall be exercised by the priests. If any outsider will approach, he shall be killed.”

Men du og dine sønner skal ta vare på eders prestetjeneste i alt som vedkommer alteret og gjerningen innenfor forhenget, og utføre tjenesten. Jeg gir eder eders prestetjeneste som en gave; men den fremmede som kommer nær til, skal late livet.
