How is reading time calculated?
Reading time is based on the word count of each book divided by your selected reading speed (words per minute). The default is 200 WPM — a comfortable reading pace for most adults.
Can I adjust the reading speed?
Yes. Use the speed selector to choose between slow (150 WPM), normal (200 WPM), fast (250 WPM), and very fast (300 WPM). The times update instantly for all books.
How long does it take to read the whole Bible?
At a normal reading speed of 200 words per minute, the entire Bible takes approximately 70-80 hours to read, depending on the translation.
Which book takes the longest to read?
Psalms and Jeremiah are typically the longest. Psalms has the most chapters (150) while Jeremiah often has the highest word count. The exact ranking depends on your translation.
Which book is the quickest to read?
2 John and 3 John can each be read in about 1-2 minutes. Obadiah, Philemon, and Jude are also very short, taking less than 5 minutes each.
