فالتفت رجال عاي الى وراءهم ونظروا واذا دخان المدينة قد صعد الى السماء. فلم يكن لهم مكان للهرب هنا او هناك. والشعب الهارب الى البرية انقلب على الطارد.

Και οτε περιεβλεψαν εις τα οπισω αυτων οι ανδρες της Γαι, ειδον, και ιδου, ανεβαινεν ο καπνος της πολεως προς τον ουρανον, και δεν ηδυναντο να φυγωσιν εδω και εκει· επειδη ο λαος ο φευγων προς την ερημον εστραφησαν οπισω εναντιον των καταδιωκοντων.

Και ότε περιέβλεψαν εις τα οπίσω αυτών οι άνδρες της Γαί, είδον, και ιδού, ανέβαινεν ο καπνός της πόλεως προς τον ουρανόν, και δεν ηδύναντο να φύγωσιν εδώ και εκεί· επειδή ο λαός ο φεύγων προς την έρημον εστράφησαν οπίσω εναντίον των καταδιωκόντων.
