Hierauf berief Mose Josua und sprach zu ihm in Gegenwart von ganz Israel: Sei mutig und stark! Denn du wirst dieses Volk in das Land bringen, dessen Verleihung an sie Jahwe ihren Vätern eidlich verheißen hat, und du wirst es auch unter sie verteilen.

Και εκαλεσεν ο Μωυσης τον Ιησουν και ειπε προς αυτον ενωπιον παντος του Ισραηλ, Ανδριζου και θαρρει· διοτι συ θελεις εισαγαγει τον λαον τουτον εις την γην, την οποιαν ωμοσε Κυριος προς τους πατερας αυτων να δωση εις αυτους, και συ θελεις κληροδοτησει αυτην εις αυτους·

And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of good courage: for thou shalt go with this people into the land which Jehovah hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
