I řekl všecken lid, kterýž byl v bráně města, i starší: Svědkové jsme. Dejž Hospodin, aby žena vcházející do domu tvého byla jako Ráchel a jako Lía, kteréžto dvě vzdělaly dům Izraelský. Počínejž sobě zmužile v Efratě, a dosáhni jména v Betlémě.

Da rief alles Volk, das sich im Thore befand, und die Vornehmen: Jawohl! Möge Jahwe das Weib, das in dein Haus einziehen soll, machen wie Rahel und Lea, welche beide das Haus Israel erbaut haben! Übe Macht in Ephrata aus und rufe einen gefeierten Namen in Bethlehem!

Και πας ο λαός ο εν τη πύλη και οι πρεσβύτεροι είπαν, Μάρτυρες· ο Κύριος να κάμη την γυναίκα, ήτις εισέρχεται εις τον οίκόν σου, ως την Ραχήλ και ως την Λείαν, αίτινες ωκοδόμησαν αμφότεραι τον οίκον Ισραήλ· και ίσχυε εν Εφραθά και έσο περίφημος εν Βηθλεέμ·

May the Lord make this woman, who enters into your house, like Rachel, and Leah, who built up the house of Israel, so that she may be an example of virtue in Ephrathah, and so that her name may be honored in Bethlehem.
