فاسأل عن الايام الاولى التي كانت قبلك من اليوم الذي خلق الله فيه الانسان على الارض ومن اقصاء السماء الى اقصائها هل جرى مثل هذا الامر العظيم او هل سمع نظيره.

Nebo ptej se nyní na dni staré, kteříž byli před tebou, od toho dne, v kterémž stvořil Bůh člověka na zemi, a od jednoho kraje nebe až do druhého, stala-li se kdy věc podobná této tak veliké, aneb slýcháno-li kdy co takového?

»Denn forsche doch in den früheren Zeiten nach, die vor dir gewesen sind, seit dem Tage, wo Gott Menschen auf der Erde geschaffen hat, und forsche von einem Ende des Himmels bis zu dessen anderem Ende nach, ob je etwas so Großes sich zugetragen hat oder etwas Derartiges gehört worden ist:

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and from the one end of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

Give thought now to the days which are past, before your time, from the day when God first gave life to man on the earth, and searching from one end of heaven to the other, see if such a great thing as this has ever been, or if anything like it has been talked of in story.

Inquire concerning the days of antiquity, which were before you, from the day when God created man upon the earth, from one end of heaven to another, if anything similar has ever occurred, or whether any such thing has ever been known,

唯耶和華是　神“你問問在你以前過去的日子，自從　神創造人在地上以來，從天這邊到天那邊，有沒有人行過這樣的大事，聽過像這樣的事呢？
