I odpověděl muži Božímu jeden z knížat, na jehož ruku král zpoléhal, a řekl: Kdyby otevřel Hospodin průduchy nebeské, zdali by to býti mohlo? Kterýž řekl: Aj, uzříš očima svýma, ale nebudeš jísti z toho.

Men Høvedsmanden, til hvis Haand Kongen hældede sig, svarede den Guds Mand og sagde: Se, om Herren gjorde Vinduer paa Himmelen, mon dette Ord kunde ske? og han sagde: Se, du skal se det med dine Øjne, men ikke æde deraf.

Da antwortete der Ritter, auf dessen Arm der König sich stützte, dem Gottesmanne folgendermaßen: »Selbst wenn Gott der HERR Fenster am Himmel aufmachte: wie könnte so etwas möglich sein?« Elisa aber entgegnete: »Wisse wohl: du wirst es mit eigenen Augen sehen, aber nicht davon essen.«

Da antwortete der Ritter, auf dessen Arm sich der König stützte, dem Manne Gottes und sprach: Siehe, und wenn der HERR Fenster am Himmel machte, wie könnte solches geschehen? Er aber sprach: Siehe, du wirst es mit eigenen Augen sehen, aber nicht davon essen!

Da antwortete der Ritter, auf dessen Arm sich der König stützte, dem Manne Gottes also: Und wenn Jahwe Fenster am Himmel anbrächte, wie könnte solches geschehen? Er erwiderte: Du sollst es mit eigenen Augen sehen, aber nichts davon genießen!

Και απεκριθη προς τον ανθρωπον του Θεου ο αρχων, επι του οποιου την χειρα εστηριζετο ο βασιλευς, και ειπε, Και εαν ο Κυριος ηθελε καμει παραθυρα εις τον ουρανον, ηδυνατο το πραγμα τουτο να γεινη; Ο δε ειπεν, Ιδου, θελεις ιδει με τους οφθαλμους σου, δεν θελεις ομως φαγει εξ αυτου.

Και απεκρίθη προς τον άνθρωπον του Θεού ο άρχων, επί του οποίου την χείρα εστηρίζετο ο βασιλεύς, και είπε, Και εάν ο Κύριος ήθελε κάμει παράθυρα εις τον ουρανόν, ηδύνατο το πράγμα τούτο να γείνη; Ο δε είπεν, Ιδού, θέλεις ιδεί με τους οφθαλμούς σου, δεν θέλεις όμως φάγει εξ αυτού.

Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if Jehovah should make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

Then the captain whose arm was supporting the king said to the man of God, Even if the Lord made windows in heaven, would such a thing be possible? And he said, Your eyes will see it, but you will not have a taste of the food.

And one of the leaders, upon whose hand the king leaned, responding to the man of God, said, “Even if the Lord will open the floodgates of heaven, how can what you say possibly be?” And he said, “You will see it with your own eyes, and you will not eat from it.”

And the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man ofGod and said, Behold, if Jehovah should make windows in the heavens, would this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

Men den høvedsmann hvis hånd kongen støttet sig på, svarte den Guds mann: Om så Herren gjorde luker på himmelen, hvorledes skulde slikt kunne hende? Han svarte: Du skal få se det med egne øine, men ikke få ete derav.

Då tok hermannen som kongen studde seg på til ords og svara gudsmannen: «Um so Herren laga lukor på himmelen, so vilde sovore vera ugjerande!» Han svara: «Du skal få sjå det med eigne augo, men du fær eta av det.»
