فغضب عليه رجل الله وقال لو ضربت خمس او ست مرّات حينئذ ضربت ارام الى الفناء. واما الآن فانك انما تضرب ارام ثلاث مرات.

Pročež rozhněvav se na něj muž Boží, řekl: Měls pětkrát neb šestkrát střeliti, ješto bys byl porazil Syrské, ažbys je i do konce byl vyhladil; nyní pak jen po třikrát porazíš Syrské.

And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times: then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it; whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.

Then the man of God was angry with him and said, If you had done it five or six times, then you would have overcome Aram completely; but now you will only overcome them three times.

the man of God became angry against him. And he said: “If you had struck five or six or seven times, you would have struck down Syria, even until it was consumed. But now you will strike it three times.”

And the man ofGod was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then wouldest thou have smitten the Syrians till thou hadst consumed [them]; whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.

और परमेश्वर के जन ने उस पर क्रोधित हो कर कहा, तुझे तो पांच छ: बार मारना चाहिये था। ऐसा करने से तो तू अराम को यहां तक मारता कि उनका अन्त कर डालता, परन्तु अब तू उन्हें तीन ही बार मारेगा।

Då vart gudsmannen harm på honom. «Du skulde ha slege fem eller seks gonger,» sagde han; «so vilde du ha tynt syrarane heilt; no kjem du til å slå syrarane tri gonger.»
