وكان هناك نبي للرب اسمه عوديد. فخرج للقاء الجيش الآتي الى السامرة وقال لهم. هوذا من اجل غضب الرب اله آبائكم على يهوذا قد دفعهم ليدكم وقد قتلتموهم بغضب بلغ السماء.

Byl pak tu prorok Hospodinův, jménem Oded, kterýž vyšed proti vojsku přicházejícímu do Samaří, řekl jim: Hle, rozhněvav se Hospodin Bůh otců vašich na Judské, vydal je v ruku vaši, a vy jste je pomordovali v prchlivosti, kteráž až k nebi dosáhla.

Es war aber daselbst ein Prophet des HERRN, der hieß Oded; der ging hinaus, dem Heer entgegen, das gen Samaria kam, und sprach zu ihm: Siehe, weil der HERR, der Gott eurer Väter, über Juda zornig ist, hat er sie in eure Hand gegeben; und ihr habt sie mit einer Wut, die zum Himmel schreit, niedergemetzelt.

Es war aber daselbst ein Prophet Jahwes, Namens Oded. Der ging hinaus, trat vor das Heer, das heimkam nach Samaria, und sprach zu ihnen: Fürwahr, infolge des Zornes Jahwes, des Gottes eurer Väter, auf die Judäer hat er sie in eure Gewalt gegeben, so daß ihr ein Gemetzel unter ihnen anrichten konntet, mit einer Wut, die bis zum Himmel reichte.

Ητο δε εκει προφητης του Κυριου, ονομαζομενος Ωδηδ· και εξηλθεν εις απαντησιν του στρατευματος του ερχομενου εις Σαμαρειαν και ειπε προς αυτους, Ιδου, επειδη Κυριος ο Θεος των πατερων σας εθυμωθη κατα του Ιουδα, παρεδωκεν αυτους εις την χειρα σας· και σεις εθανατωσατε αυτους εν μανια, ητις εφθασεν εως του ουρανου·

Ήτο δε εκεί προφήτης του Κυρίου, ονομαζόμενος Ωδήδ· και εξήλθεν εις απάντησιν του στρατεύματος του ερχομένου εις Σαμάρειαν και είπε προς αυτούς, Ιδού, επειδή Κύριος ο Θεός των πατέρων σας εθυμώθη κατά του Ιούδα, παρέδωκεν αυτούς εις την χείρα σας· και σεις εθανατώσατε αυτούς εν μανία, ήτις έφθασεν έως του ουρανού·

But a prophet of Jehovah was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out to meet the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because Jehovah, the God of your fathers, was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage which hath reached up unto heaven.

But a prophet of the Lord was there, named Oded; and he went out in front of the army which was coming into Samaria and said to them, Truly, because the Lord, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, he gave them up into your hands, and you have put them to death in an outburst of wrath stretching up to heaven.

At that time, there was a prophet of the Lord there, named Oded. And going out to meet the army arriving in Samaria, he said to them: “Behold, the Lord, the God of your fathers, having become angry against Judah, has delivered them into your hands. But you have killed them by atrocities, so that your cruelty has reached up to heaven.
