Da ließ der König den Oberpriester Jojada kommen und sagte zu ihm: »Warum hast du die Leviten nicht dazu angehalten, aus Juda und Jerusalem die Abgabe einzubringen, die Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, der israelitischen Volksgemeinde für das Gesetzeszelt auferlegt hat?

Da rief der König den Jojada, den Oberpriester, und sprach zu ihm: Warum verlangst du nicht von den Leviten, daß sie von Juda und Jerusalem die Steuer einbringen, welche Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, auferlegte und welche die Gemeinde Israel zur Hütte des Zeugnisses brachte?

Da berief der König Jojada, das Oberhaupt der Priester, und sprach zu ihm: Warum hast du dich nicht darum gekümmert, daß die Leviten die Steuer aus Juda und Jerusalem einbringen, die von Mose, dem Knechte Jahwes, der Volksgemeinde Israels zum Besten des Gesetzeszeltes auferlegt ward?

Και εκαλεσεν ο βασιλευς τον Ιωδαε τον αρχηγον και ειπε προς αυτον, Δια τι δεν εζητησας παρα των Λευιτων να εισπραξωσιν εκ του Ιουδα και εκ της Ιερουσαλημ τον φορον του Μωυσεως, του δουλου του Κυριου, και της συναγωγης του Ισραηλ, δια την σκηνην του μαρτυριου;

Και εκάλεσεν ο βασιλεύς τον Ιωδαέ τον αρχηγόν και είπε προς αυτόν, Διά τι δεν εζήτησας παρά των Λευϊτών να εισπράξωσιν εκ του Ιούδα και εκ της Ιερουσαλήμ τον φόρον του Μωϋσέως, του δούλου του Κυρίου, και της συναγωγής του Ισραήλ, διά την σκηνήν του μαρτυρίου;

And the king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said unto him, Why hast thou not required of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the tax of Moses the servant of Jehovah, and of the assembly of Israel, for the tent of the testimony?

Then the king sent for Jehoiada, the chief priest, and said to him, Why have you not given the Levites orders that the tax fixed by Moses, the servant of the Lord, and by the meeting of Israel, for the Tent of witness, is to be got in from Judah and Jerusalem and handed over?

And the king summoned Jehoiada, the leader, and he said to him: “Why was there no concern with you, so that you would compel the Levites to bring, from Judah and from Jerusalem, the money that was appointed by Moses, the servant of the Lord, so as to bring it, from the entire multitude of Israel, to the tabernacle of the testimony?

And the king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said to him, Why hast thou not required of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the tribute of Moses the servant of Jehovah [laid upon] the congregation of Israel, for the tent of the testimony?

And the king called Joiada the chief, and said to him: Why hast thou not taken care to oblige the Levites to bring in out of Juda and Jerusalem the money that was appointed by Moses the servant of the Lord for all the multitude of Israel to bring into the tabernacle of the testimony?

Therefore the King called Iehoiada, the chiefe, and said vnto him, Why hast thou not required of the Leuites to bring in out of Iudah and Ierusalem the taxe of Moses the seruant of the Lord, and of the Congregation of Israel, for the Tabernacle of the testimonie?
