Als aber der König von Assyrien den Hosea treulos erfand (er hatte nämlich Boten an Sewe, den König von Ägypten, gesandt und nicht mehr, wie sonst alljährlich, an den König von Assyrien Tribut gezahlt), da schritt der könig von Assyrien wider ihn ein und legte ihn gebunden ins Gefängnis.
