Da erwiderten ihr die Männer: Unser Leben wollen wir für das eurige einsetzen, wenn ihr uns in unserer jetzigen Lage nicht verratet; wenn uns dann Jahwe dieses Land zu teil werden läßt, so wollen wir dir Gutes erweisen und Treue halten.

Και απεκριθησαν προς αυτην οι ανδρες, Η ζωη ημων εις θανατον ας παραδοθη αντι της ιδικης σας, αν μονον δεν φανερωσητε ταυτην την υποθεσιν ημων, εαν ημεις, οταν ο Κυριος παραδωση εις ημας την γην, δεν δειξωμεν ελεος και πιστιν εις σε.

Και απεκρίθησαν προς αυτήν οι άνδρες, Η ζωή ημών εις θάνατον ας παραδοθή αντί της ιδικής σας, αν μόνον δεν φανερώσητε ταύτην την υπόθεσιν ημών, εάν ημείς, όταν ο Κύριος παραδώση εις ημάς την γην, δεν δείξωμεν έλεος και πίστιν εις σε.

And the men said unto her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business; and it shall be, when Jehovah giveth us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.

They responded to her: “May our lives be yours unto death, if only you do not betray us. And when the Lord will have delivered the land to us, we will act toward you with mercy and truth.”

They answered her: Be our lives for you unto death, only if thou betray us not. And when the Lord shall have delivered us the land, we will shew thee mercy and truth.

二 人 對 他 說 ： 你 若 不 洩 漏 我 們 這 件 事 ， 我 們 情 願 替 你 們 死 。 耶 和 華 將 這 地 賜 給 我 們 的 時 候 ， 我 們 必 以 慈 愛 誠 實 待 你 。
