Εξήλθε λοιπόν ο Λωτ και ελάλησε προς τους γαμβρούς αυτού, τους μέλλοντας να λάβωσι τας θυγατέρας αυτού, και είπε, Σηκώθητε, εξέλθετε εκ του τόπου τούτου· διότι καταστρέφει ο Κύριος την πόλιν. Αλλ' εφάνη εις τους γαμβρούς αυτού ως αστεϊζόμενος.

And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons-in-law, who married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for Jehovah will destroy the city. But he seemed unto his sons-in-law as one that mocked.

And so Lot, going out, spoke to his sons-in-law, who were going to receive his daughters, and he said: “Rise up. Depart from this place. For the Lord will destroy this city.” And it seemed to them that he was speaking playfully.

And Lot went out, and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, Up, go out of this place, for Jehovah will destroy the city. But he was as if he jested, in the sight of his sons-in-law.
