Tedy vztáh podobenství ruky, vzal mne za kštici hlavy mé, a vyzdvihl mne Duch mezi nebe a mezi zemi, a uvedl mne do Jeruzaléma u viděních Božích, k vratům brány vnitřní, kteráž patří na půlnoci, kdež byla stolice modly k horlivosti a k zůřivosti popouzející.

Da streckte er etwas aus, das wie eine Hand gebildet war, und faßte mich bei den Locken meines Hauptes; dann hob die Gotteskraft mich zwischen Erde und Himmel empor und brachte mich im Zustand der Verzückung nach Jerusalem an den Eingang des Tores zum inneren Vorhof, das nach Norden zu liegt, woselbst das die Eifersucht des HERRN erregende Eiferbild seinen Standort hatte.

Und es streckte etwas wie eine Hand aus und ergriff mich bei den Locken meines Hauptes, und der Geist hob mich empor zwischen Himmel und Erde und brachte mich in Gesichten Gottes nach Jerusalem, an den Eingang des innern Tors, das gegen Mitternacht schaut, woselbst ein Bild der Eifersucht, das den Eifer Gottes erregt, seinen Standort hatte.

Und er reckte etwas wie eine Hand aus und erfaßte mich bei den Locken meines Hauptes, und der Geist hob mich empor zwischen Erde und Himmel und brachte mich nach Jerusalem in einem göttlichen Gesicht an den Eingang des inneren Thors, das nach Norden gewendet ist, wo die den Eifer Jahwes erregende Bildsäule stand.

Και εξηπλωσεν ομοιωμα χειρος, και με επιασεν απο της κομης της κεφαλης μου και με υψωσε το πνευμα μεταξυ της γης και του ουρανου και με εφερε δι' οραματων Θεου εις Ιερουσαλημ, εις την θυραν της εσωτερας πυλης της βλεπουσης προς βορραν, οπου ιστατο το ειδωλον της ζηλοτυπιας, το παροξυνον εις ζηλοτυπιαν.
