Als er nun von Jerusalem dem König entgegenkam, sprach der König zu ihm: Mephiboset, warum bist du nicht mit mir gezogen?

Und Meribaal, Sauls Enkelsohn, war gleichfalls zur Einholung des Königs herabgekommen; er hatte seine Füße nicht gepflegt, seinen Bart nicht geordnet und seine Kleider nicht gewaschen von dem Tage an, an dem der König sich auf den Weg gemacht hatte, bis zu dem Tag, an dem er wohlbehalten zurückkehrte.

And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore wentest not thou with me, Mephibosheth?

Now when he had come from Jerusalem to see the king, the king said to him, Why did you not come with me, Mephibosheth?

And when he was come to Ierusalem, and met the king, the king said vnto him, Wherefore wentest not thou with me, Mephibosheth?
