ثم قال له ايليا يا اليشع امكث هنا لان الرب قد ارسلني الى اريحا. فقال حيّ هو الرب وحية هي نفسك اني لا اتركك. وأتيا الى اريحا.

Opět řekl jemu Eliáš: Elizee, medle poseď tuto, nebo Hospodin poslal mne do Jericha. Kterýž odpověděl: Živť jest Hospodin, a živať jest duše tvá, žeť se tebe nespustím. I přišli do Jericha.

Και ειπεν ο Ηλιας προς αυτον, Ελισσαιε, καθου ενταυθα, παρακαλω· διοτι ο Κυριος με απεστειλεν εις Ιεριχω. Ο δε ειπε, Ζη Κυριος και ζη η ψυχη σου, δεν θελω σε αφησει. Και ηλθον εις Ιεριχω.

Και είπεν ο Ηλίας προς αυτόν, Ελισσαιέ, κάθου ενταύθα, παρακαλώ· διότι ο Κύριος με απέστειλεν εις Ιεριχώ. Ο δε είπε, Ζη Κύριος και ζη η ψυχή σου, δεν θέλω σε αφήσει. Και ήλθον εις Ιεριχώ.

And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for Jehovah hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.

Then Elijah said to him, Come no farther, for the Lord has sent me to Jericho. But he said, As the Lord is living and as your soul is living, I will not be parted from you. So they went on to Jericho.

Then Elijah said to Elisha: “Remain here. For the Lord has sent me to Jericho.” And he said, “As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not forsake you.” And when they had arrived at Jericho,
