Ustanovil také podlé nařízení Davida otce svého pořádky kněžské k úřadům jejich, a Levíty ku povinnostem jejich, aby chválili Boha, a přisluhovali při kněžích náležitě každého dne, a vrátné v pořádcích jejich u jedné každé brány; nebo tak byl rozkaz Davida muže Božího.

Und nach der Anordnung seines Vaters David bestellte er die Abteilungen der Priester zu ihrem Dienst und die Leviten zu ihren Amtsverichtungen, zu lobsingen und bei den Priestern Dienste zu leisten, so wie es ein jeder Tag erforderte, und die Thorhüter nach ihren Abteilungen für die einzelnen Thore; denn so lautete der Befehl Davids, des Mannes Gottes.

Και κατεστησε, κατα την διαταξιν Δαβιδ του πατρος αυτου, τας διαιρεσεις των ιερεων εις την υπηρεσιαν αυτων, και τους Λευιτας εις τας φυλακας αυτων δια να υμνωσι και να λειτουργωσι κατεναντι των ιερεων, κατα το απαιτουμενον εκαστης ημερας· και τους πυλωρους κατα τας διαιρεσεις αυτων εις εκαστην πυλην· διοτι τοιαυτη ητο η εντολη Δαβιδ του ανθρωπου του Θεου.

And he appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their offices, to praise, and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required; the doorkeepers also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

And he gave the divisions of the priests their places for their work, as ordered by his father David, and to the Levites he gave their work of praise and waiting on the priests, to do what was needed day by day; and he gave the door-keepers their places in turn at every door; for so David, the man of God, had given orders.

And he appointed, in accord with the plan of his father David, the offices of the priests in their ministries; and those of the Levites, in their orders, so that they might praise and minister before the priests according to the ritual of each day; and the porters, in their divisions, from gate to gate. For so had David, the man of God, instructed.
