Damals weihte Salomo den mittleren Teil des Vorhofes, der vor dem Tempelhause des HERRN lag, zur Opferstätte; denn dort brachte er die Brandopfer und die Fettstücke der Heilsopfer dar, weil der kupferne Altar, den Salomo hatte herstellen lassen, die Brand- und Speiseopfer und die Fettstücke (der Heilsopfer) nicht fassen konnte.

Und Salomo heiligte den innern Vorhof, der vor dem Hause des HERRN war; denn er brachte daselbst Brandopfer dar und die Fettstücke der Dankopfer; denn der eherne Altar, welchen Salomo hatte machen lassen, konnte die Brandopfer und Speisopfer und die Fettstücke nicht fassen.

Und Salomo weihte den mittleren Teil des Vorhofs, der vor dem Tempel Jahwes liegt, indem er die Brandopfer und die Fettstücke der Heilsopfer daselbst opferte. Denn der eherne Altar, den Salomo hatte anfertigen lassen, vermochte nicht die Brandopfer und Speisopfer und die Fettstücke zu fassen.

Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of Jehovah; for there he offered the burnt-offerings, and the fat of the peace-offerings, because the brazen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt-offering, and the meal-offering, and the fat.

Also, Solomon sanctified the middle of the atrium in front of the temple of the Lord. For he had offered the holocausts and the fat of peace offerings in that place because the bronze altar, which he had made, had not been able to support the holocausts and the sacrifices and the fat.
