وهكذا في أمر تراجم رؤساء بابل الذين ارسلوا اليه ليسألوا عن الاعجوبة التي كانت في الارض تركه الله ليجربه ليعلم كل ما في قلبه.

Demgemäß gab ihn Gott auch den Gesandten der Fürsten von Babel, die zu ihm geschickt waren, um sich nach dem Wunderzeichen zu erkundigen, das im Lande geschehen war, nur so weit preis, um ihn auf die Probe zu stellen, damit er seine Gesinnung vollständig erfahre.

Επι των πρεσβεων ομως των αρχοντων της Βαβυλωνος, οιτινες εστειλαν προς αυτον δια να ερευνησωσι περι του θαυματος του γενομενου εν τη γη, ο Θεος εγκατελιπεν αυτον, δια να δοκιμαση αυτον, ωστε να γνωριση παντα τα εν τη καρδια αυτου.

Επί των πρέσβεων όμως των αρχόντων της Βαβυλώνος, οίτινες έστειλαν προς αυτόν διά να ερευνήσωσι περί του θαύματος του γενομένου εν τη γη, ο Θεός εγκατέλιπεν αυτόν, διά να δοκιμάση αυτόν, ώστε να γνωρίση πάντα τα εν τη καρδία αυτού.

Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.
