A mluvili jim synové Izraelští: Ó bychom byli zemřeli od ruky Hospodinovy v zemi Egyptské, když jsme sedávali nad hrnci masa, když jsme se najídali chleba do sytosti! A teď vyvedli jste nás na tuto poušť, abyste zmořili všecko shromáždění toto hladem.

Und die Kinder Israel sprachen zu ihnen: Wären wir doch durch des HERRN Hand in Ägypten gestorben, als wir bei den Fleischtöpfen saßen und Brot die Fülle zu essen hatten. Denn ihr habt uns darum in diese Wüste ausgeführt, daß ihr diese ganze Gemeinde Hungers sterben lasset!

Und die Israeliten sprachen zu ihnen: O wären wir doch lieber durch die Hand Jahwes in Ägypten gestorben, wo wir bei unseren Fleischtöpfen saßen und uns am Brot satt essen konnten; statt dessen habt ihr uns in diese Wüste geführt, um diese ganze Gemeinde dem Hungertode preiszugeben.

Και ειπον προς αυτους οι υιοι Ισραηλ, Ειθε να απεθνησκομεν υπο της χειρος του Κυριου εν τη γη της Αιγυπτου, οτε εκαθημεθα πλησιον των λεβητων του κρεατος και οτε ετρωγομεν αρτον εις χορτασμον· διοτι εξηγαγετε ημας εις την ερημον ταυτην, δια να θανατωσητε με την πειναν πασαν την συναγωγην ταυτην.

Και είπον προς αυτούς οι υιοί Ισραήλ, Είθε να απεθνήσκομεν υπό της χειρός του Κυρίου εν τη γη της Αιγύπτου, ότε εκαθήμεθα πλησίον των λεβήτων του κρέατος και ότε ετρώγομεν άρτον εις χορτασμόν· διότι εξηγάγετε ημάς εις την έρημον ταύτην, διά να θανατώσητε με την πείναν πάσαν την συναγωγήν ταύτην.

and the children of Israel said unto them, Would that we had died by the hand of Jehovah in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh-pots, when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

And the children of Israel said to them, It would have been better for the Lord to have put us to death in the land of Egypt, where we were seated by the flesh-pots and had bread enough for our needs; for you have taken us out to this waste of sand, to put all this people to death through need of food.

And the sons of Israel said to them: “If only we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat around bowls of meat and ate bread until filled. Why have you led us away, into this desert, so that you might kill the entire multitude with famine?”

And the children of Israel said to them, Would that we had died by the hand of Jehovah in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh-pots, when we ate bread to the full; for ye have brought us out into this wilderness, to kill this whole congregation with hunger!

And the children of Israel said to them: Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat over the fleshpots, and ate bread to the full: Why have you brought us into this desert, that you might destroy all the multitude with famine?

For the children of Israel sayde to them, Oh that we had dyed by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when wee sate by the flesh pots, when wee ate bread our bellies full: for yee haue brought vs out into this wildernesse, to kill this whole company with famine.

Kaj la Izraelidoj diris al ili:Ho, ni dezirus morti per la mano de la Eternulo en la lando Egipta, sidante super la potoj kun viando, mangxante panon gxissate! vi elkondukis nin en cxi tiun dezerton, por mortigi cxi tiun tutan komunumon per malsato.

Les decían los hijos de Israel: “¡Ojalá hubiéramos muerto a manos de Yahvé en la tierra de Egipto, cuando nos sentábamos junto a las ollas de carne, cuando comíamos pan en abundancia! Vosotros nos habéis sacado a este desierto para matar de hambre a todo este pueblo.”

Y decíanles los hijos de Israel; ¡Oh, si hubiéramos muerto por mano de Jehová en la tierra de Egipto, cuando nos sentábamos a las ollas de las carnes, cuando comíamos pan a hartura! que nos habéis sacado a este desierto, para matar de hambre a toda esta multitud.
