فالتفت الرب ونظر الى بطرس. فتذكر بطرس كلام الرب كيف قال له انك قبل ان يصيح الديك تنكرني ثلاث مرات.

Και στραφεις ο Κυριος ενεβλεψεν εις τον Πετρον, και ενεθυμηθη ο Πετρος τον λογον του Κυριου, οτι ειπε προς αυτον οτι πριν φωναξη ο αλεκτωρ, θελεις με απαρνηθη τρις.

Και στραφείς ο Κύριος ενέβλεψεν εις τον Πέτρον, και ενεθυμήθη ο Πέτρος τον λόγον του Κυρίου, ότι είπε προς αυτόν ότι πριν φωνάξη ο αλέκτωρ, θέλεις με απαρνηθή τρίς.

And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how that he said unto him, Before the cock crow this day thou shalt deny me thrice.

Og Herren vendte sig og så på Peter; og Peter kom Herrens ord i hu, hvorledes han hadde sagt til ham: Før hanen galer idag, skal du fornekte mig tre ganger.
