Téhož dne také dobyl Jozue Maceda, a pohubil je mečem, i krále jejich pobil spolu s nimi, a všecky lidi, kteříž byli v něm. Neživil žádného, ale učinil králi Maceda, jako učinil králi Jericha.

Og Josva indtog Makkeda paa den samme Dag og slog den med skarpe Sværd, og dens Konge ødelagde han tillige med alle Personer, som vare i den, han lod ingen blive tilovers til at undkomme; og han gjorde mod Kongen af Makkeda, ligesom han gjorde mod Kongen af Jeriko.

Josua eroberte dann an jenem Tage noch Makkeda und schlug es mit der Schärfe des Schwertes, indem er am dortigen König, an der Stadt und der gesamten Einwohnerschaft den Bann vollstreckte; er verschonte keinen einzigen von ihnen und verfuhr mit dem König von Makkeda, wie er mit dem König von Jericho verfahren war. –

An demselben Tage gewann Josua auch Makeda und schlug es mit der Schärfe des Schwertes samt seinem König und vollstreckte an ihnen und an allen Seelen, die darin waren, den Bann, und ließ niemand übrigbleiben und tat dem König zu Makeda, wie er dem König zu Jericho getan hatte.

Und die Stadt Makeda nahm Josua an jenem Tage ein, er eroberte sie in blutigem Kampf und vollstreckte an ihrem Könige den Bann, ebenso an ihr und an allen Menschen, die darin waren, und ließ niemanden entrinnen; und mit dem Könige von Makeda verfuhr er, wie er mit dem Könige von Jericho verfahren war.

Και εν εκείνη τη ημέρα εκυρίευσεν ο Ιησούς την Μακκηδά, και επάταξεν εν στόματι μαχαίρας αυτήν και τον βασιλέα αυτής· εξωλόθρευσεν αυτούς και πάσας τας ψυχάς τας εν αυτή· δεν αφήκεν υπόλοιπον· και έκαμεν εις τον βασιλέα της Μακκηδά, καθώς έκαμεν εις τον βασιλέα της Ιεριχώ.

And Joshua took Makkedah on that day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof: he utterly destroyed them and all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining; and he did to the king of Makkedah as he had done unto the king of Jericho.

In quel medesimo giorno Giosuè prese Makkeda e fece passare a fil di spada la città e il suo re; li votò allo sterminio con tutte le persone che vi si trovavano; non ne lasciò scampare una, e tratto il re di Makkeda come avea trattato il re di Gerico.

Samme dag inntok Josva Makkeda og slo byen med sverdets egg, og kongen der slo han med bann og hver sjel som var der; han lot ikke nogen bli i live eller slippe unda; han gjorde med kongen i Makkeda som han hadde gjort med kongen i Jeriko.

Iosua a luat Macheda chiar în ziua aceea, şi a trecut -o prin ascuţişul săbiei; a nimicit cu desăvîrşire pe împărat, cetatea şi pe toţi cei ce se aflau în ea; n'a lăsat să scape niciunul, şi împăratului din Macheda i -a făcut cum făcuse împăratului Ierihonului.

Och Josua intog Mackeda på den dagen och slog dess invånare och dess konung med svärdsegg; han gav det till spillo med alla dem som voro därinne och lät ingen slippa undan. Och han gjorde med konungen i Mackeda på samma sätt som han hade gjort med konungen i Jeriko.
