فقال ارميا كذب. لا اقع للكلدانيين. ولم يسمع له فقبض يرئيا على ارميا وأتى به الى الرؤساء.

Then said Jeremiah, It is false; I am not falling away to the Chaldeans. But he hearkened not to him; so Irijah laid hold on Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes.

Then Jeremiah said, That is not true; I am not going to the Chaldaeans. But he would not give ear to him: so Irijah made him prisoner and took him to the rulers.

And Jeremiah said, It is false: I am not deserting to the Chaldeans. But he hearkened not to him; and Irijah laid hold on Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes.

Then sayde Ieremiah, That is false, I flee not to the Caldeans: but he would not heare him: so Iriiah tooke Ieremiah, and brought him to the princes.

Then said Jeremiah, {It is} false; I fall not away to the Chaldeans. But he hearkened not to him: so Irijah took Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes. {false: Heb. falsehood, or, a lie}

Alors les chefs s'emportèrent contre Jérémie, le frappèrent et le mirent en prison dans la maison de Jéhonathan, le secrétaire; car ils en avaient fait une prison.

És monda Jeremiás: Hazugság! Nem szököm a Káldeusokhoz; de nem hallgata rá. És Jériás megfogá Jeremiást, és vivé őt a fejedelmekhez.

Da sa Jeremias: Det er løgn; jeg vil ikke gå over til kaldeerne. Men Jerija hørte ikke på Jeremias, han grep ham og førte ham til høvdingene.
