I přikryly veškeren svrchek země, tak že pro ně nebylo lze znáti země; a sežraly všelikou bylinu země, a všeliké ovoce na stromích, kteréž zůstalo po krupobití; a nepozůstalo nic zeleného na stromích a bylinách polních ve vší zemi Egyptské.

Denn sie bedeckten das ganze Land und verfinsterten es. Und sie fraßen alle Bodengewächse und alle Baumfrüchte, die vom Hagel übriggeblieben waren, und ließen nichts Grünes übrig an den Bäumen und an den Feldgewächsen in ganz Ägyptenland.

και εκάλυψε το πρόσωπον όλης της γης και εσκοτίσθη η γή· και κατέφαγε πάντα τον χόρτον της γης και πάντας τους καρπούς των δένδρων, όσους η χάλαζα αφήκε, και δεν έμεινεν ουδέν χλωρόν ούτε εις τα δένδρα ούτε εις τα χόρτα του αγρού καθ' όλην την γην της Αιγύπτου.

De dekket hele landet, så landet blev mørkt, og de åt op alle urter i landet og all frukt på trærne som haglet hadde levnet, og det blev intet grønt tilbake på trærne eller på markens urter i hele Egyptens land.

蝗蟲遮蓋了整個地面，以致大地都變黑了。牠們吃盡了地上一切蔬菜，和樹上所有的果子，就是受冰雹擊打後留下來的。這樣，在埃及全地，無論是樹木，或田間的蔬菜，連一點青的也沒有留下。
