فلما علم دانيال بامضاء الكتابة ذهب الى بيته وكواه مفتوحة في عليته نحو اورشليم فجثا على ركبتيه ثلاث مرات في اليوم وصلّى وحمد قدام الهه كما كان يفعل قبل ذلك.

Demgemäß ließ der König Darius den Erlaß und das Verbot ausfertigen.

Και ο Δανιηλ, καθως εμαθεν οτι υπεγραφη η γραφη, εισηλθεν εις τον οικον αυτου· και εχων τας θυριδας του κοιτωνος αυτου ανεωγμενας προς την Ιερουσαλημ, επιπτεν επι τα γονατα αυτου τρις της ημερας, προσευχομενος και δοξολογων ενωπιον του Θεου αυτου, καθως εκαμνε προτερον.

Και ο Δανιήλ, καθώς έμαθεν ότι υπεγράφη η γραφή, εισήλθεν εις τον οίκον αυτού· και έχων τας θυρίδας του κοιτώνος αυτού ανεωγμένας προς την Ιερουσαλήμ, έπιπτεν επί τα γόνατα αυτού τρίς της ημέρας, προσευχόμενος και δοξολογών ενώπιον του Θεού αυτού, καθώς έκαμνε πρότερον.
