وعندنا الكلمة النبوية وهي اثبت التي تفعلون حسنا ان انتبهتم اليها كما الى سراج منير في موضع مظلم الى ان ينفجر النهار ويطلع كوكب الصبح في قلوبكم

Und wir halten nun desto fester an dem prophetischen Wort, und ihr tut wohl, darauf zu achten als auf ein Licht, das an einem dunklen Orte scheint, bis der Tag anbricht und der Morgenstern aufgeht in euren Herzen;

Und so ist uns das prophetische Wort fest - woran ihr gut thut euch zu halten als an eine Leuchte, die da scheint an finsterem Ort, bis der Tag durchbricht und lichtbringend aufgeht in euren Herzen,

Και έχομεν βεβαιότερον τον προφητικόν λόγον, εις τον οποίον κάμνετε καλά να προσέχητε ως εις λύχνον φέγγοντα εν σκοτεινώ τόπω, εωσού έλθη η αυγή της ημέρας και ο φωσφόρος ανατείλη εν ταις καρδίαις υμών·

And we have the word of prophecy made more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:

And so the words of the prophets are made more certain; and it is well for you to give attention to them as to a light shining in a dark place, till the dawn comes and the morning star is seen in your hearts;

holding to faith and good conscience, against those who, by rejecting these things, have made a shipwreck of the faith.
