فاخذ فدان بقر وقطّعه وارسل الى كل تخوم اسرائيل بيد الرسل قائلا من لا يخرج وراء شاول ووراء صموئيل فهكذا يفعل ببقره. فوقع رعب الرب على الشعب فخرجوا كرجل واحد.

und er nahm ein Paar Rinder und zerstückelte sie und sandte davon durch Boten in alle Landmarken Israels und ließ sagen: Wer nicht auszieht, Saul und Samuel nach, dessen Rindern wird man also tun! Da fiel die Furcht des HERRN auf das Volk, daß sie auszogen wie ein Mann.

Er ergriff ein paar Rinder, zerstückte sie und sandte die Stücke durch Boten im ganzen Gebiet Israels umher mit dem Aufruf: Wer nicht mit ausrückt hinter Saul und Samuel her, dessen Rindern soll es so ergehen! Da befiel das Volk ein Schrecken Jahwes, daß es ausrückte wie ein Mann.

Και ελαβε ζευγος βοων, και κατακοψας αυτους εις τμηματα, απεστειλεν αυτα κατα παντα τα ορια του Ισραηλ δια χειρος μηνυτων, λεγων, Οστις δεν εξελθη κατοπιν του Σαουλ και κατοπιν του Σαμουηλ, ουτω θελει γεινει εις τους βοας αυτου. Και επεπεσε φοβος Κυριου επι τον λαον, και εξηλθον ως εις ανθρωπος.

Και έλαβε ζεύγος βοών, και κατακόψας αυτούς εις τμήματα, απέστειλεν αυτά κατά πάντα τα όρια του Ισραήλ διά χειρός μηνυτών, λέγων, Όστις δεν εξέλθη κατόπιν του Σαούλ και κατόπιν του Σαμουήλ, ούτω θέλει γείνει εις τους βόας αυτού. Και επέπεσε φόβος Κυρίου επί τον λαόν, και εξήλθον ως εις άνθρωπος.
