فقال له الله من اجل انك قد سألت هذا الأمر ولم تسأل لنفسك اياما كثيرة ولا سألت لنفسك غنى ولا سألت انفس اعدائك بل سألت لنفسك تمييزا لتفهم الحكم

Und Gott sprach zu ihm: Weil du darum gebeten und dir nicht langes Leben oder Reichtum oder auch den Tod deiner Feinde erbeten hast, sondern um Verstand gebeten hast, um auf recht zu hören,

Και ειπεν ο Θεος προς αυτον, Επειδη εζητησας το πραγμα τουτο, και δεν εζητησας εις σεαυτον πολυζωιαν, και δεν εζητησας εις σεαυτον πλουτη, και δεν εζητησας την ζωην των εχθρων σου, αλλ' εζητησας εις σεαυτον συνεσιν δια να εννοης κρισιν,

Και είπεν ο Θεός προς αυτόν, Επειδή εζήτησας το πράγμα τούτο, και δεν εζήτησας εις σεαυτόν πολυζωΐαν, και δεν εζήτησας εις σεαυτόν πλούτη, και δεν εζήτησας την ζωήν των εχθρών σου, αλλ' εζήτησας εις σεαυτόν σύνεσιν διά να εννοής κρίσιν,

And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life, neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies, but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern justice;

And God said to him, Because your request is for this thing, and not for long life for yourself or for wealth or for the destruction of your haters, but for wisdom to be a judge of causes;

And the Lord said to Solomon: “Since you have requested this word, and you have not asked for many days or for wealth for yourself, nor for the lives of your enemies, but instead you have requested for yourself wisdom in order to discern judgment:

तब परमेश्वर ने उस से कहा, इसलिये कि तू ने यह वरदान मांगा है, और न तो दीर्घायु और न धन और न अपने शत्रुओं का नाश मांगा है, परन्तु समझने के विवेक का वरदान मांगा है इसलिये सुन,

Sana öyle bir bilgelik ve sezgi dolu bir yürek vereceğim ki, benzeri ne senden öncekilerde görülmüştür, ne de senden sonrakilerde görülecektir.
