Als nun David in seinem Palaste wohnte, sprach David einst zum Propheten Nathan: Ich wohne nun im Cedernpalaste, während die Lade mit dem Gesetze Jahwes unter Zelttüchern weilt!

Αφου δε εκαθησεν ο Δαβιδ εν τω οικω αυτου, ειπεν ο Δαβιδ προς Ναθαν τον προφητην, Ιδου, εγω κατοικω εν οικω κεδρινω, η δε κιβωτος της διαθηκης του Κυριου υπο παραπετασματα.

Αφού δε εκάθησεν ο Δαβίδ εν τω οίκω αυτού, είπεν ο Δαβίδ προς Νάθαν τον προφήτην, Ιδού, εγώ κατοικώ εν οίκω κεδρίνω, η δε κιβωτός της διαθήκης του Κυρίου υπό παραπετάσματα.

And it came to pass, when David dwelt in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of Jehovah dwelleth under curtains.

Now when David was living in his house, he said to Nathan the prophet, See, I am living in a house of cedar-wood, but the ark of the Lord's agreement is under the curtains of a tent.
