Mouse & Trackpad Tester

Test your mouse buttons, scroll wheel and cursor position — all in the browser.

How to use

  1. Move the mouse over the test area to see the cursor coordinates.
  2. Click with each button — left, middle, right — to test them.
  3. Scroll the wheel to test scroll detection.

About this tool

A mouse tester verifies that every button and the scroll wheel register correctly in the browser. It shows the cursor position within the test area, identifies which button was pressed (0=left, 1=middle, 2=right), and reports the scroll direction and magnitude.

This is useful for testing a new mouse, diagnosing double-click issues, and verifying that the scroll wheel has not developed a skip or reverse scroll problem.

The test area blocks the context menu (right-click) so you can test the right button without triggering it.

Frequently asked questions

My middle click does not register.

Some browsers intercept middle-click for tab management. Try in a fullscreen or standalone window.

Does it detect DPI?

No — mouse DPI is a hardware setting that the browser cannot read.

Does my data leave the browser?

No. Everything runs locally in JavaScript on your device — nothing is transmitted or stored.
