How to use

  1. Choose what you need: force HTTPS, redirect www to non-www (or vice versa), set custom error pages, enable Gzip compression or add cache headers.
  2. Toggle each rule on or off and set the parameters — the .htaccess code updates live.
  3. Copy the generated rules and paste them into your site's .htaccess file via FTP or your hosting panel.

About this tool

Builds Apache .htaccess directives visually, without needing to memorise mod_rewrite syntax. Common use cases: force HTTPS, canonical www redirect, custom 404 pages, browser caching headers and Gzip compression.

Each rule is a self-contained block with comments, so you can copy only the ones you need. The generator uses standard Apache 2.4 syntax compatible with most shared hosting providers.

Test on a staging environment before deploying to production — a syntax error in .htaccess can take your entire site offline. If your host runs Nginx instead of Apache, these rules will not apply; Nginx uses a different configuration format.
