The PEPE price in reais with the time the quote was taken, a two-way converter, and a straight account of a token whose own site says it has no purpose.
Pepe (PEPE): R$ 0,000019, +5,43%.
Pepe is a token with no stated purpose, and that is not an outside opinion — its own site says so. It launched in April 2023 on the Ethereum network from an anonymous team: no presale, no roadmap, no allocation to insiders beyond a reserve for exchange listings, and a note saying it has no intrinsic value and no expectation of financial return. The price rests entirely on how many people want it at the same moment. The supply is 420,690,000,000,000 tokens — a joke number that pushes the unit price down to a fraction of a centavo, which says something about the size of the unit and nothing about the size of the thing.
The frog is Pepe, drawn by the cartoonist Matt Furie for a comic in 2005 and later taken up by the American far right, to the point where the Anti-Defamation League listed it as a hate symbol in 2016 — a label Furie spent years fighting. The token has no connection to him and no licence from him. Its own history has one episode worth knowing: in August 2023 trillions of tokens left the project's shared wallet for exchanges, the remaining team blamed former members who still had keys, and the price fell sharply that day. It went from nothing to billions within weeks of launch, peaked again in December 2024, and gave up most of that value over the following year.
The value at the top is a CoinGecko reference averaged across exchanges, saved by a job that runs every half hour, with the moment of the quote beside it. Your exchange shows something else: its own spread and fees, proportionally heavier on a token this cheap. One detail catches people out — PEPE is an Ethereum token, so moving it off an exchange costs a fee paid in ether, not in PEPE, which can be worth more than a small position. Almost all the volume here is people trading with each other.
From CoinGecko, an average across many exchanges, saved by a job that runs every 30 minutes; the date and time of that quote sit under the value. Press "Refresh rate" to fetch the current one live. PEPE trades at weekends too.
Because this is an average reference, not an offer. Each exchange quotes its own buying and selling prices with a spread, takes a trading fee and charges again to withdraw — percentages that bite harder on a token this cheap.
Nothing, by design. No application behind it, no company, no revenue, no roadmap — the project says as much itself. It exists to be traded, and the only thing setting its price is how much attention it is getting.
Do the multiplication first. There are about 420 trillion tokens, so one US cent each puts the total at roughly 4.2 trillion dollars — several times what the whole crypto market has ever been worth at once. The low unit price follows from issuing 420 trillion units.
Nobody you can identify. The team is anonymous, and the one time the shared wallet moved a large amount, in August 2023, the remaining members blamed former members who still had keys. There is no company to hold responsible.
