وكان لما اظلمت ابواب اورشليم قبل السبت اني أمرت بان تغلق الابواب وقلت ان لا يفتحوها الى ما بعد السبت واقمت من غلماني على الابواب حتى لا يدخل حمل في يوم السبت.

Und sobald es dunkel wurde in den Toren Jerusalems vor dem Sabbat, ließ ich die Tore schließen; und ich befahl, man solle sie nicht öffnen bis nach dem Sabbat; und ich bestellte einige meiner Knappen an die Tore, damit man am Sabbattag keine Last hereinbringe.

Und sobald es vor Sabbatsanbruch in den Thoren dunkel wurde, befahl ich, daß die Thüren geschlossen würden; und weiter befahl ich, daß man sie nicht eher wieder öffnen dürfe als nach dem Sabbat. Und ich stellte einige von meinen Leuten an die Thore, daß am Sabbattage keine Ware hereinkäme.

Διά τούτο, ότε ήρχιζε να συσκοτάζη εις τας πύλας της Ιερουσαλήμ προ του σαββάτου, είπα, και έκλεισαν τας πύλας, και προσέταξα να μη ανοιχθώσιν έως μετά το σάββατον· και κατέστησα επί τας πύλας τινάς εκ των υπηρετών μου, διά να μη εισέλθη φορτίον την ημέραν του σαββάτου.

And it came to pass that, when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut, and commanded that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I over the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.
