وحدث في ايام آحاز بن يوثام بن عزيا ملك يهوذا ان رصين ملك ارام صعد مع فقح بن رمليا ملك اسرائيل الى اورشليم لمحاربتها فلم يقدر ان يحاربها.

I stalo se za dnů Achasa syna Jotamova, syna Uziáše, krále Judského, že přitáhl Rezin král Syrský, a Pekach syn Romeliáše, krále Izraelského, k Jeruzalému, aby bojoval proti němu, ale nemohl ho dobyti.

Og det skete i de Dage, da Akas, Jothams Søn, Usias Sønnesøn, var Konge i Juda, at Rezin, Kongen af Syrien, og Israels Konge Peka, en Søn af Remalia, droge op imod Jerusalem for at føre Krig imod den; men de formaaede ikke at stride imod den.

Während der Regierung des judäischen Königs Ahas, des Sohnes Jothams, des Sohnes Ussias, begab es sich, daß Rezin, der König von Syrien, mit Pekah, dem Sohne Remaljas, dem König von Israel, zum Angriff gegen Jerusalem heranzog; doch war er nicht imstande, es erfolgreich zu belagern.

Und es begab sich zur Zeit Ahas', des Sohnes Jotams, des Sohnes Ussias, des Königs von Juda, daß Rezin, der König von Syrien, mit Pekach, dem Sohne Remaljas, dem König von Israel, hinaufzog zum Krieg wider Jerusalem; er konnte es aber nicht belagern.

Zur Zeit Ahas', des Sohnes Jothams, des Sohnes Usias, des Königs von Juda, zogen Rezin, der König von Aram, und Pekah, der Sohn Remaljas, der König von Israel, gegen Jerusalem heran, um es anzugreifen. Aber sie vermochten nicht wider Jerusalem zu kämpfen.

Και εν ταις ημεραις του Αχαζ, υιου του Ιωαθαμ, υιου του Οζιου, βασιλεως του Ιουδα, Ρεσιν ο βασιλευς της Συριας, και Φεκα ο υιος του Ρεμαλια, βασιλευς του Ισραηλ, ανεβησαν επι την Ιερουσαλημ δια να πολεμησωσιν αυτην αλλα δεν ηδυνηθησαν να εκπολιορκησωσιν αυτην.

Και εν ταις ημέραις του Άχαζ, υιού του Ιωάθαμ, υιού του Οζίου, βασιλέως του Ιούδα, Ρεσίν ο βασιλεύς της Συρίας, και Φεκά ο υιός του Ρεμαλία, βασιλεύς του Ισραήλ, ανέβησαν επί την Ιερουσαλήμ διά να πολεμήσωσιν αυτήν αλλά δεν ηδυνήθησαν να εκπολιορκήσωσιν αυτήν.

And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.

Why is it necessary for a man to seek things that are greater than himself, when he does not know what is advantageous for himself in his life, during the number of the days of his sojourn, and while time passes by like a shadow? Or who will be able to tell him what will be in the future after him under the sun?

And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz, the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, [that] Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem to make war against it, but they were not able to fight against it.

What needeth a man to seek things that are above him, whereas he knoweth not what is profitable for him in his life, in all the days of his pilgrimage, and the time that passeth like a shadow? Or who can tell him what shall be after him under the sun?

And in the dayes of Ahaz, the sonne of Iotham, the sonne of Vzziah king of Iudah, Rezin the King of Aram came vp, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, to Ierusalem to fight against it, but he could not ouercome it.

És lőn a Júda királyának, Akháznak, az Uzziás fiának, Jóthám fiának napjaiban, eljöve Reczin, Sziriának királya, és Remaljának fia, Pékah, Izráelnek királya Jeruzsálem ellen, hogy azt megostromolja; de nem veheté meg azt.
