Sooft man nun die Lade durch die Leviten zu der königlichen Aufsichtsbehörde bringen ließ – wenn man nämlich sah, daß viel Geld darin war –, so gingen der Schreiber des Königs und der vom Oberpriester Beauftragte hin, leerten die Lade und brachten sie dann wieder an ihren Platz zurück. So tat man Tag für Tag und brachte eine Menge Geld zusammen.

Und wenn es Zeit war, die Lade durch die Leviten zu der königlichen Behörde zu bringen, und wenn man sah, daß viel Geld darin war, so kamen der Schreiber des Königs und der Verordnete des Oberpriesters und leerten die Lade und trugen sie wieder an ihren Ort. Also taten sie von Zeit zu Zeit, so daß sie viel Geld zusammenbrachten.

Und jedesmal, wenn er die Lade durch die Leviten zu der königlichen Aufsichtsbehörde bringen ließ, wenn sie nämlich sahen, daß des Geldes viel war, kam der Schreiber des Königs und der Beauftragte des Hohenpriesters; die leerten die Lade und trugen sie dann wieder an ihren Ort. So thaten sie Tag für Tag und sammelten eine Menge Geld.

Οτε δε εφερετο το κιβωτιον προς τους επιστατας του βασιλεως δια χειρος των Λευιτων, και οτε αυτοι εβλεπον οτι ητο πολυ το αργυριον, ηρχετο ο γραμματευς του βασιλεως και ο επιστατης του ιερεως του πρωτου, και εξεκενονον το κιβωτιον και φεροντες εθετον αυτο παλιν εις τον τοπον αυτου. Ουτως εκαμνον καθ' ημεραν και συνηγαγον αργυριον πολυ.

Ότε δε εφέρετο το κιβώτιον προς τους επιστάτας του βασιλέως διά χειρός των Λευϊτών, και ότε αυτοί έβλεπον ότι ήτο πολύ το αργύριον, ήρχετο ο γραμματεύς του βασιλέως και ο επιστάτης του ιερέως του πρώτου, και εξεκένονον το κιβώτιον και φέροντες έθετον αυτό πάλιν εις τον τόπον αυτού. Ούτως έκαμνον καθ' ημέραν και συνήγαγον αργύριον πολύ.

And it was so, that, at what time the chest was brought unto the king’s officers by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, the king’s scribe and the chief priest’s officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to its place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.

So when the chest was taken to the king's servants by the Levites, and they saw that there was much money in it, the king's scribe and the chief priest's servant took the money out, and put the chest back in its place. They did this day by day, and got together a great amount of money.

And when it was time for them to bring the ark before the king by the hands of the Levites, for they saw that there was much money, the scribe of the king, and the one whom the high priest had appointed, entered. And they poured out the money that was in the ark. Then they carried the ark back to its place. And they did this on each day. And an immense sum of money was gathered.

And it came to pass at the time the chest was brought for the king's control by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, the king's scribe and high priest's officer came, and they emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to its place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.

And when it was time to bring the chest before the king by the hands of the Levites, (for they saw there was much money,) the king's scribe, and he whom the high priest had appointed went in: and they poured out the money that was in the chest: and they carried back the chest to its place: and thus they did from day to day, and there was gathered an immense sum of money.

And when it was time, they brought the chest vnto the Kings officer by the hand of the Leuites: and when they saw that there was much siluer, then the Kings Scribe (and one appoynted by the hie Priest) came and emptied the chest, and tooke it, and caried it to his place againe: thus they did day by day, and gathered siluer in abundance.

Now it came to pass, that at what time the chest was brought unto the king's office by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that {there was} much money, the king's scribe and the high priest's officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.
