وهي لم تعرف اني انا اعطيتها القمح والمسطار والزيت وكثّرت لها فضة وذهبا جعلوه لبعل.

(H2-10) Sie merkte ja nicht, daß ich es war, der ihr das Korn, den Most und das Öl gab und das viele Silber und Gold, das sie für den Baal verwandt haben.

Darum will ich ihr den Weg mit Dornen verzäunen und mit Mauern versperren, daß sie ihre Pfade nicht finden soll.

Και αυτη δεν εγνωριζεν οτι εγω εδωκα εις αυτην τον σιτον και τον οινον και το ελαιον, και επληθυνα το αργυριον εις αυτην και το χρυσιον, με τα οποια κατεσκευασαν τον Βααλ.
