فلما سمع الملك هذا الكلام اغتاظ على نفسه جدا وجعل قلبه على دانيال لينجيه واجتهد الى غروب الشمس لينقذه.

Tedy král, jakž uslyšel tu řeč, velmi se zarmoutil nad tím, a uložil král v mysli své vysvoboditi Daniele, a až do západu slunce usiloval ho vytrhnouti.

Darauf erwiderten sie dem König: »Daniel, einer von den in die Verbannung hergeführten Judäern, hat nicht auf dich, o König, geachtet, noch auf das Verbot, das du hast ausfertigen lassen, sondern verrichtet dreimal täglich sein Gebet.«

(H6-15) Als der König solches vernahm, wurde er sehr betrübt, und er sann darüber nach, wie er den Daniel retten könnte, und gab sich Mühe bis zum Sonnenuntergang, ihn zu befreien.

Da antworteten sie dem König und sprachen: Daniel, der zu der Schar der jüdischen Gefangenen gehört, hat sich um dich, o König, nichts gekümmert, noch um das Verbot, das du erlassen hast; dreimal täglich verrichtet er sein Gebet.

Τοτε ο βασιλευς, ως ηκουσε τους λογους, ελυπηθη πολυ επ' αυτω και εφροντιζεν εγκαρδιως περι του Δανιηλ να ελευθερωση αυτον, και ηγωνιζετο μεχρι της δυσεως του ηλιου δια να λυτρωση αυτον.

Τότε ο βασιλεύς, ως ήκουσε τους λόγους, ελυπήθη πολύ επ' αυτώ και εφρόντιζεν εγκαρδίως περί του Δανιήλ να ελευθερώση αυτόν, και ηγωνίζετο μέχρι της δύσεως του ηλίου διά να λυτρώση αυτόν.

Da kongen hørte dette, blev han meget bedrøvet og tenkte på hvorledes han skulde kunne frelse Daniel, og helt til solen gikk ned, gjorde han sig umak for å utfri ham.
