دع عبدك يرجع فاموت في مدينتي عند قبر ابي وامي وهوذا عبدك كمهام يعبر مع سيدي الملك فافعل له ما يحسن في عينيك.
Nechť se navrátí, prosím, služebník tvůj, ať umru v městě svém, kdež jest hrob otce mého a matky mé. Aj, služebník tvůj Chimham půjde se pánem mým králem, jemuž učiníš, cožť se dobrého viděti bude.

Laß doch deinen Knecht umkehren, daß ich in meiner Stadt, beim Grabe meines Vaters und meiner Mutter, sterben kann! Aber siehe, hier ist dein Knecht Kimham, der möge mit meinem Herrn, dem König, hinüberziehen; demselben tue, was dich gut dünkt!
Ein wenig wollte dein Knecht den König begleiten; aber warum vergilt mir der König in dieser Weise?
ας επιστρεψη ο δουλος σου, παρακαλω, δια να αποθανω εν τη πολει μου και να ενταφιασθω πλησιον του ταφου του πατρος μου και της μητρος μου· πλην ιδου, ο δουλος σου Χιμαμ· ας διαβη μετα του κυριου μου του βασιλεως· και καμε εις αυτον ο, τι φανη αρεστον εις τους οφθαλμους σου.

Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, by the grave of my father and my mother. But behold, thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee.

求 你 准 我 回 去 , 好 死 在 我 本 城 , 葬 在 我 父 母 的 墓 旁 。 這 裡 有 王 的 僕 人 金 罕 , 讓 他 同 我 主 我 王 過 去 , 可 以 隨 意 待 他 。
請讓你僕人回去,好死在我自己的城裡,埋葬在我父母的墳墓旁。看哪,你僕人金罕在這裡,請讓他與我主我王一同過河;你看怎麼好,就怎麼待他吧!”
