فقال رؤساء بني عمون لحانون سيدهم. هل يكرم داود اباك في عينيك حتى ارسل اليك معزّين. أليس لاجل فحص المدينة وتجسّسها وقلبها ارسل داود عبيده اليك.

I řekla knížata Ammonitská k Chanunovi, pánu svému: Cožť se zdá, že David činí poctivost otci tvému, že poslal k tobě, kteříž by tě potěšili? Zdaliž ne proto, aby shlédl město a vyšpehoval je, a potom je podvrátil, poslal David služebníky své k tobě?

Da sagde Ammons Børns Fyrster til Hanon, deres Herre: Synes det for dine Øjne, at David ærer din Fader, ved at han sender dig Trøstere? mon David ikke har sendt sine Tjenere til dig for at udforske Staden og for at bespejde den og omstyrte den?

Da sprachen die Fürsten der Kinder Ammon zu Hanun, ihrem Herrn: Ehrt wohl David deinen Vater in deinen Augen, daß er Tröster zu dir gesandt hat? Hat nicht David seine Knechte zu dir gesandt, um die Stadt zu erforschen und sie auszukundschaften und sie umzukehren?

Da sprachen die Fürsten der Kinder Ammon zu Hanun, ihrem Herrn: Ehrt wohl David deinen Vater in deinen Augen, daß er Tröster zu dir gesandt hat? Hat nicht David seine Knechte zu dir gesandt, um die Stadt zu erforschen und sie auszukundschafte und sie umzukehren?

sagten die Fürsten der Ammoniter zu Hanun, ihrem Herrn: »Glaubst du etwa, daß David Beileidsgesandte deshalb geschickt hat, um deinem Vater eine Ehre zu erweisen? Nein, offenbar hat David seine Diener nur deshalb zu dir geschickt, um die Stadt zu erforschen und auszukundschaften und sie dann zu zerstören.«

sprachen die Vornehmsten unter den Kindern Ammon zu ihrem Herrn, Chanun: Meinst du, David wolle deinen Vater vor deinen Augen ehren, daß er Tröster zu dir gesandt hat? Hat er nicht vielmehr seine Knechte darum zu dir gesandt, daß er die Stadt erforsche und erkunde und zerstöre?

sagten die Fürsten der Ammoniter zu ihrem Herrn Hanun: Glaubst du denn, daß David, indem er dir Tröster zusendet, deinem Vater eine Ehre erzeigen will? Sicher hat David seine Beamten nur zum Zweck der Erforschung der Stadt an dich gesandt, um sie auszukundschaften und dann zu zerstören!

Και ειπον οι αρχοντες των υιων Αμμων προς Ανουν τον κυριον αυτων, Νομιζεις οτι ο Δαβιδ τιμων τον πατερα σου απεστειλε προς σε παρηγορητας; δεν απεστειλεν ο Δαβιδ τους δουλους αυτου προς σε, δια να ερευνηση την πολιν και να κατασκοπευση αυτην και να καταστρεψη αυτην;

Και είπον οι άρχοντες των υιών Αμμών προς Ανούν τον κύριον αυτών, Νομίζεις ότι ο Δαβίδ τιμών τον πατέρα σου απέστειλε προς σε παρηγορητάς; δεν απέστειλεν ο Δαβίδ τους δούλους αυτού προς σε, διά να ερευνήση την πόλιν και να κατασκοπεύση αυτήν και να καταστρέψη αυτήν;

But the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, Thinkest thou that David doth honor thy father, in that he hath sent comforters unto thee? hath not David sent his servants unto thee to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?

But the chiefs of the children of Ammon said to Hanun their lord, Does it seem to you that David is honouring your father by sending comforters to you? has he not sent his servants to go through the town and make secret observation of it, and overcome it?

the leaders of the sons of Ammon said to Hanun, their lord: “Do you think it was because of the honor of your father that David sent consolers to you? And did not David send his servants to you, so that he might investigate and explore the city, and so that he might overthrow it?”

And the princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanun their lord, Is it, in thine eyes, to honour thy father that David has sent comforters to thee? Is it not to search the city and to spy it out, and to overthrow it, that David has sent his servants to thee?

The princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanon their lord: Thinkest thou that for the honour of thy father, David hath sent comforters to thee, and hath not David rather sent his servants to thee to search, and spy into the city, and overthrow it?

And the princes of the children of Ammon sayde vnto Hanun their lorde, Thinkest thou that Dauid doth honour thy father, that he hath sent comforters to thee? hath not Dauid rather sent his seruants vnto thee, to search the citie, and to spie it out, and to ouerthrow it?

But the princes of the children of Ammon said to Hanun their lord, "Do you think that David honors your father, in that he has sent comforters to you? Hasn't David sent his servants to you to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it?"

परन्तु अम्मोनियों के हाकिम अपने स्वामी हानून से कहने लगे, दाऊद ने जो तेरे पास शान्ति देने वाले भेजे हैं, वह क्या तेरी समझ में तेरे पिता का आदर करने की मनसा मे भेजे हैं? क्या दाऊद ने अपने कर्मचारियों को तेरे पास इसी मनसा मे नहीं भेजा कि इस नगर में ढूंढ़ ढांढ़ करके और इसका भेद ले कर इस को उलट दें?
