لان هذا حسن ومقبول لدى مخلّصنا الله

Nebo toť jest dobré a vzácné před spasitelem naším Bohem,

dette er smukt og velbehageligt for Gud, vor Frelser,

Denn dieses ist gut und angenehm vor unserem Heiland-Gott,

Denn dieses ist gut und angenehm vor unserem Heilandgott,

und es erschienen ihnen Zungen wie von Feuer, die sich (in Flämmchen) zerteilten und von denen sich eine auf jeden von ihnen niederließ;

denn solches ist gut und angenehm vor Gott unsrem Retter,

Das ist gut und genehm vor Gott unserem Heilande,

Διοτι τουτο ειναι καλον και ευπροσδεκτον ενωπιον του σωτηρος ημων Θεου,

Διότι τούτο είναι καλόν και ευπρόσδεκτον ενώπιον του σωτήρος ημών Θεού,

This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

This is good and pleasing in the eyes of God our Saviour;

And so, I wrote this same thing to you, so that I might not, when I arrive, add sorrow to sorrow for those with whom I ought to rejoice, having confidence in you in all things, so that my joy may be entirely yours.

for this is good and acceptable before our SaviourGod,

And I wrote this same to you: that I may not, when I come, have sorrow upon sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice: having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.

Tio estas bona kaj akceptebla antaux Dio, nia Savanto,

Esto mismo os escribo para no tener, en mi llegada, tristeza por parte de aquellos que debieran serme motivo de gozo, y con la confianza puesta en todos vosotros, de que todos tenéis por vuestro el gozo mío.
