وفي ذات يوم قال يوناثان بن شاول للغلام حامل سلاحه تعال نعبر الى حفظة الفلسطينيين الذين في ذلك العبر. ولم يخبر اباه.

Stalo se pak jednoho dne, že řekl Jonata syn Saulův služebníku, kterýž nosil zbroj jeho: Poď, půjdeme k stráži Filistinských, kteráž jest na oné straně. Ale otci svému toho nepověděl.

Eines Tages nun gebot Jonathan, der Sohn Sauls, ohne seinem Vater Mitteilung zu machen, dem burschen, der ihm Wasser trug: Komm, laßß uns hinübergehen auf den Posten der Philister kos, der dort drüben steht!

Ημεραν δε τινα ειπεν Ιωναθαν, ο υιος του Σαουλ, προς τον νεον τον βασταζοντα τα οπλα αυτου, Ελθε, και ας περασωμεν προς την φρουραν των Φιλισταιων, την εν τω περαν· προς τον πατερα αυτου ομως δεν εφανερωσε τουτο.

Ημέραν δε τινά είπεν Ιωνάθαν, ο υιός του Σαούλ, προς τον νέον τον βαστάζοντα τα όπλα αυτού, Ελθέ, και ας περάσωμεν προς την φρουράν των Φιλισταίων, την εν τω πέραν· προς τον πατέρα αυτού όμως δεν εφανέρωσε τούτο.

Now it fell upon a day, that Jonathan the son of Saul said unto the young man that bare his armor, Come, and let us go over to the Philistines’ garrison, that is on yonder side. But he told not his father.
