فهوذا لطف الله وصرامته. اما الصرامة فعلى الذين سقطوا. واما اللطف فلك ان ثبت في اللطف وإلا فانت ايضا ستقطع.

Als der König das vernahm, geriet er in Zorn; er brach sofort auf und begab sich nach Ptolemais, von wo er dem Jonathan schriftlich befahl, die Belagerung aufzugeben und sich unverzüglich zu ihm nach Ptolemäus zum Zweck einer Besprechung zu verfügen.

So schaue nun die Güte und die Strenge Gottes; die Strenge an denen, die gefallen sind; die Güte aber an dir, sofern du in der Güte bleibst, sonst wirst auch du abgehauen werden!

Ιδε λοιπον την χρηστοτητα και την αυστηροτητα του Θεου, επι μεν τους πεσοντας την αυστηροτητα, επι σε δε την χρηστοτητα, εαν επιμεινης εις την χρηστοτητα· διοτι αλλως και συ θελεις αποκοπη.

Behold then the goodness and severity of God: toward them that fell, severity; but toward thee, God’s goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

See then that God is good but his rules are fixed: to those who were put away he was hard, but to you he has been good, on the condition that you keep in his mercy; if not, you will be cut off as they were.

And when he heard it, he became angry. And immediately he came to Ptolemais, and he wrote to Jonathan that he should not besiege the stronghold, but that he should meet with him promptly, for a discussion.

Behold then [the] goodness and severity ofGod: upon them who have fallen, severity; upon thee goodness ofGod, if thou shalt abide in goodness, since [otherwise] thou also wilt be cut away.

Beholde therefore the bountifulnesse, and seueritie of God: towarde them which haue fallen, seueritie: but toward thee, bountifulnesse, if thou continue in his bountifulnesse: or els thou shalt also be cut off.

Så se da Guds godhet og strenghet: Strenghet er over dem som er falt, men over dig er Guds godhet, såfremt du holder dig til hans godhet, ellers skal også du bli avhugget.

Sjå då Guds godleik og strengleik: Strengleik imot deim som er falne, men godleik imot deg, so framt du held deg til godleiken, elles skal du og verta avhoggen.

Onun için Tanrı'nın iyiliğini de sertliğini de gör. O, düşenlere karşı serttir; ama O'nun iyiliğine bağlı kalırsan, sana iyi davranır. Yoksa sen de kesilip atılırsın!

Vậy hãy xem sự nhơn từ và sự nghiêm nhặt của Ðức Chúa Trời: sự nghiêm nhặt đối với họ là kẻ đã ngã xuống, còn sự nhơn từ đối với ngươi, miễn là ngươi cầm giữ mình trong sự nhơn từ Ngài: bằng chẳng, ngươi cũng sẽ bị chặt.

可 見 神 的 恩 慈 和 嚴 厲 ， 向 那 跌 倒 的 人 是 嚴 厲 的 ， 向 你 是 有 恩 慈 的 ； 只 要 你 長 久 在 他 的 恩 慈 裡 ， 不 然 ， 你 也 要 被 砍 下 來 。

所以要留意　神的恩慈和嚴厲：對跌倒的人，他是嚴厲的；對你，只要你繼續在他的恩慈裡，他是恩慈的；不然的話，你也會被砍下來。
