وجاء من مقابل جبعة عشرة آلاف رجل منتخبون من كل اسرائيل وكانت الحرب شديدة وهم لم يعلموا ان الشر قد مسّهم

Und zehntausend auserlesene Männer aus ganz Israel kamen gegen Gibea, als der Streit hart war; die Kinder Benjamin aber merkten nicht, daß ihnen das Unglück nahte.

Darauf rückten Gibea gegenüber 10000 aus ganz Israel erlesene Männer heran, und es entspann sich ein heftiger Kampf, wobei das Verderben sie unversehens ereilte.

Και ηλθον εναντιον της Γαβαα δεκα χιλιαδες ανδρων εκλεκτων εκ παντος του Ισραηλ, και η μαχη εσταθη βαρεια· αλλ' αυτοι δεν εγνωριζον οτι το κακον ητο πλησιον αυτων.

तब सब इस्राएलियों में से छांटे हुए दास हजार पुरूष गिबा के साम्हने आए, और घोर लड़ाई होने लगी; परन्तु वे न जानते थे कि हम पर विपत्ति अभी पड़ा चाहती है।
