ثم رجعوا الى يشوع وقالوا له لا يصعد كل الشعب بل يصعد نحو الفي رجل او ثلاثة آلاف رجل ويضربوا عاي. لا تكلف كل الشعب الى هناك لانهم قليلون.

Kteřížto navrátivše se k Jozue, řekli jemu: Nechť nevstupuje všecken lid tento, okolo dvou tisíc mužů neb okolo tří tisíců mužů nechť vstoupí, a dobudouť Hai; neobtěžuj všeho lidu, vysílaje jej tam, nebo málo jest oněchno.

berichteten sie dem Josua nach ihrer Rückkehr: »Nicht das gesamte Volk braucht hinaufzuziehen; zwei- bis dreitausend Mann genügen, um Ai zu erobern. Bemühe nicht das ganze Volk dorthin; denn die Zahl ihrer Leute ist gering.«

Und da sie wieder zu Josua kamen, sprachen sie zu ihm: Lasse nicht das ganze Volk hinaufziehen; etwa zwei oder dreitausend Mann mögen hinaufziehen und Ai schlagen, daß nicht das ganze Volk sich dahin bemühe; denn ihrer sind wenige!

Sodann kehrten sie zu Josua zurück und berichteten ihm: Es braucht nicht das gesamte Volk hinzuziehen; zwei- oder dreitausend Mann mögen hinziehen, um Ai zu unterwerfen. Du brauchst nicht das ganze Volk dorthin zu bemühen, denn jene sind gering an Zahl!

Και επιστρεψαντες προς τον Ιησουν ειπαν προς αυτον, Ας μη αναβη πας ο λαος, αλλ' ως δυο η τρεις χιλιαδες ανδρες ας αναβωσι και ας παταξωσι την Γαι· μη βαλης παντα τον λαον εις κοπον φερων αυτον εως εκει· διοτι ειναι ολιγοι.

Και επιστρέψαντες προς τον Ιησούν είπαν προς αυτόν, Ας μη αναβή πας ο λαός, αλλ' ως δύο ή τρεις χιλιάδες άνδρες ας αναβώσι και ας πατάξωσι την Γαί· μη βάλης πάντα τον λαόν εις κόπον φέρων αυτόν έως εκεί· διότι είναι ολίγοι.

And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; make not all the people to toil thither; for they are but few.

Then they came back to Joshua and said to him, Do not send all the people up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and make an attack on Ai; there is no need for all the people to be tired with the journey there, for it is only a small town.

And returning, they said to him: “Let not the entire people go up. Instead, let two or three thousand men go out and destroy the city. Why should all the people be troubled without cause against enemies that are so very few?”

And they returned to Joshua, and said to him, Let not all the people go up; let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; make not all the people to toil thither, for they are few.

And returning, they said to him: Let not all the people go up, but let two or three thousand men go, and destroy the city: why should all the people be troubled in vain, against enemies that are very few?

And returned to Ioshua, and saide vnto him, Let not al the people go vp, but let as it were two or three thousand men go vp, and smite Ai, and make not al the people to labour thither, for they are fewe.

Og da de kom tilbake til Josva, sa de til ham: La ikke alt folket dra op! Omkring to eller tre tusen mann kan dra op og ta Ai; du trenger ikke å umake hele folket dit, for de er ikke mange.

Og då dei kom attende til Josva, sagde dei med honom: «Lat ikkje alt folket fara der upp! Send tvo, tri tusund mann, so tek dei Aj! Du treng ikkje umaka heile heren dit; for dei er ikkje mange.»

И возвратившись к Иисусу, сказали ему: не весь народ пусть идет, апусть пойдет около двух тысяч или около трех тысяч человек, и поразят Гай; всего народа не утруждай туда, ибо их мало там .

Och när de kommo tillbaka till Josua, sade de till honom: »Allt folket behöver icke draga ditupp; om vid pass två eller tre tusen man draga upp, skola de nog intaga Ai. Du behöver icke låta allt folket göra sig mödan att tåga dit, ty dess invånare äro få.»

Sonra Yeşu'nun yanına dönerek ona, “Bütün halkın oraya gidip yorulmasına gerek yok” dediler, “Sayısı az olan Ay halkını yenmeye iki üç bin kişi yeter.”

他 們 回 到 約 書 亞 那 裡 ， 對 他 說 ： 眾 民 不 必 都 上 去 ， 只 要 二 三 千 人 上 去 就 能 攻 取 艾 城 ； 不 必 勞 累 眾 民 都 去 ， 因 為 那 裡 的 人 少 。

他們回來，對約書亞說：“不需要全體人民都上去；只要大約二三千人就可以上去攻打艾城了；不必勞動全體人民都上那裡去，因為那裡的人很少。”
