Aj já, dí Hospodin, proti těm, kteříž prorokují sny lživé, a vypravujíce je, svodí lid můj lžmi svými a žvavostí svou, ješto jsem já jich neposlal, aniž jsem jim přikázal. Pročež naprosto nic neprospívají lidu tomuto, dí Hospodin.

siehe, ich will an die Propheten, spricht der HERR, welche erlogene Träume erzählen und durch ihre Lügen und Prahlereien mein Volk irreführen, da ich sie doch nicht gesandt und ihnen nichts befohlen habe und sie auch diesem Volk gar nichts nützen können, spricht der HERR.

Ja, ich will an die Propheten, die trügerische Träume verkündigen - ist der Spruch Jahwes - und sie erzählen und mein Volk durch ihre Lügen und ihr Geflunker in die Irre führen, sie, die ich doch nicht gesandt noch beauftragt habe, und die diesem Volke gar nichts nützen, - ist der Spruch Jahwes!

Behold, I am against them that prophesy lying dreams, saith Jehovah, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their vain boasting: yet I sent them not, nor commanded them; neither do they profit this people at all, saith Jehovah.

See, I am against the prophets of false dreams, says the Lord, who give them out and make my people go out of the way by their deceit and their uncontrolled words: but I did not send them or give them orders; and they will be of no profit to this people, says the Lord.

Voici, dit l’ Éternel, j’en veux à ceux qui prophétisent des songes faux, et qui les récitent, et font errer mon peuple par leurs mensonges et par leurs vanteries; et moi je ne les ai pas envoyés, et je ne leur ai pas donné de commandement; et ils ne profiteront de rien à ce peuple, dit l’ Éternel.

Il finit par mordre comme un serpent, et par piquer comme un basilic.

यहोवा की यह भी वाणी है कि जो बिना मेरे भेजे वा बिना मेरी आज्ञा पाए स्वप्न देखने का झूठा दावा कर के भविष्यद्वाणी करते हैं, और उसका वर्णन कर के मेरी प्रजा को झूठे घमण्ड में आकर भरमाते हैं, उनके भी मैं विरुद्ध हूँ; और उन से मेरी प्रजा के लोगों का कुछ लाभ न हेगा।

Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Nầy, ta nghịch cùng những kẻ lấy chiêm bao giả dối mà nói tiên tri, thuật lại và lấy lời dối trá khoe khoang mà làm cho dân ta lầm lạc, nhưng ta không sai và cũng không bảo chúng nó; chúng nó cũng không làm ích gì cho dân nầy hết, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
