واما عماسا فلم يحترز من السيف الذي بيد يوآب فضربه به في بطنه فدلق امعاءه الى الارض ولم يثن عليه فمات. واما يوآب وابيشاي اخوه فتبعا شبع بن بكري.

Ale Amaza nešetřil se meče, kterýž byl v ruce Joábově. I ranil ho jím pod páté žebro, a vykydl střeva jeho na zem jednou ranou, a umřel. I honili Joáb a Abizai, bratr jeho, Sebu syna Bichri.

Og Amasa tog sig ikke i Vare for Sværdet, som var i Joabs Haand, saa denne stak ham dermed i Underlivet og udøste hans Indvolde paa Jorden; og han stak ham ikke anden Gang, thi han var død; men Joab og hans Broder Abisaj forfulgte Seba, Bikris Søn.

Ο δε Αμασα δεν εφυλαχθη την μαχαιραν, ητις ητο εν τη χειρι του Ιωαβ· και ο Ιωαβ επαταξεν αυτον δι' αυτης εις την πεμπτην πλευραν, και εχυσε τα εντοσθια αυτου κατα γης και δεν εδευτερωσεν εις αυτον· και απεθανε. Τοτε ο Ιωαβ και Αβισαι ο αδελφος αυτου κατεδιωξαν οπισω του Σεβα, υιου του εν Βιχρει.

Ο δε Αμασά δεν εφυλάχθη την μάχαιραν, ήτις ήτο εν τη χειρί του Ιωάβ· και ο Ιωάβ επάταξεν αυτόν δι' αυτής εις την πέμπτην πλευράν, και έχυσε τα εντόσθια αυτού κατά γης και δεν εδευτέρωσεν εις αυτόν· και απέθανε. Τότε ο Ιωάβ και Αβισαί ο αδελφός αυτού κατεδίωξαν οπίσω του Σεβά, υιού του εν Βιχρεί.

But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab’s hand: so he smote him therewith in the body, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. And Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.

But Amasa did not see danger from the sword which was now in Joab's left hand, and Joab put it through his stomach so that his inside came out on to the earth, and he did not give him another blow. So Joab and his brother Abishai went on after Sheba, the son of Bichri.

But Amasa did not notice the sword that Joab had. And he struck him in the side, and his intestines poured out to the ground. And he did not inflict a second wound, and he died. Then Joab and his brother Abishai pursued Sheba, the son of Bichri.

And Amasa had taken no notice of the sword that was in Joab's hand: so he smote him with it in the belly and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. And Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.
