Že povolal král Joas Joiady kněze i jiných kněží, a řekl jim: Proč neopravujete zbořenin chrámových? Protož nyní nepřijímejte peněz od známých svých, ale na zbořeniny domu dávejte je.

berief der König den Priester Jojada und die übrigen Priester und sprach zu ihnen: Warum bessert ihr nicht aus, was am Hause baufällig ist? So sollt ihr nun das Geld nicht mehr nehmen von euren Bekannten, sondern sollt es für die Ausbesserung des Hauses geben!

Im dreiundzwanzigsten Jahre des Königs aber hatten die Priester noch immer nicht ausgebessert, was am Tempel baufällig war.

Οθεν εκαλεσεν ο βασιλευς Ιωας τον Ιωδαε τον ιερεα και τους ιερεις και ειπε προς αυτους, Δια τι δεν επεσκευασατε τα χαλασματα του οικου; τωρα λοιπον μη λαμβανετε πλεον αργυριον παρα των γνωστων σας, αλλα διδετε αυτο δια τα χαλασματα του οικου.

Όθεν εκάλεσεν ο βασιλεύς Ιωάς τον Ιωδαέ τον ιερέα και τους ιερείς και είπε προς αυτούς, Διά τι δεν επεσκευάσατε τα χαλάσματα του οίκου; τώρα λοιπόν μη λαμβάνετε πλέον αργύριον παρά των γνωστών σας, αλλά δίδετε αυτό διά τα χαλάσματα του οίκου.

Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and for the other priests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore take no more money from your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.

Then King Jehoash sent for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said to them, Why have you not made good what is damaged in the house? now take no more money from your neighbours, but give it for the building up of the house.

And king Jehoash called the high priest, Jehoiada, and the priests, saying to them: “Why have you not repaired the surfaces of the temple? Therefore, you may no longer accept money according to your ranks. Instead, return it in order that the temple may be repaired.”

Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the priests, and said to them, Why have ye not repaired the breaches of the house? And now receive no money of your acquaintances, but give it for the breaches of the house.

And king Joas called Joiada, the high priest, and the priests, saying to them: Why do you not repair the temple? Take you, therefore, money no more according to your order, but restore it for the repairing of the temple.

Then King Iehoash called for Iehoiada the Priest, and the other Priestes, and sayd vnto them, Why repaire yee not the ruines of the Temple? nowe therefore receiue no more money of your acquaintance, except yee deliuer it to repaire the ruines of the Temple.

Da kalte kong Joas presten Jojada og prestene til sig og sa til dem: Hvorfor bøter I ikke husets brøst? Nu skal I ikke lenger ta imot penger av eders kjenninger, men gi dem fra eder til å bøte husets brøst med.

Kong Joas kalla då til seg presten Jojada og dei andre prestarne: «Kvifor hev de ikkje bøtt bresterne i Herrens hus?» spurde han; «heretter fær ikkje de taka imot pengar av kjenningarne dykkar; de skal lata deim frå dykk, til å bøta på huset.»

Då kallade konung Joas till sig prästen Jojada och de övriga prästerna och sade till dem: »Varför sätten I icke i stånd vad som är förfallet på huset? Nu fån I icke längre taga emot penningar av edra bekanta, utan I skolen lämna dem ifrån eder till det som är förfallet på huset.»

所 以 約 阿 施 王 召 了 大 祭 司 耶 何 耶 大 和 眾 祭 司 來 ， 對 他 們 說 ： 你 們 怎 麼 不 修 理 殿 的 破 壞 之 處 呢 ？ 從 今 以 後 ， 你 們 不 要 從 所 認 識 的 人 再 收 銀 子 ， 要 將 所 收 的 交 出 來 ， 修 理 殿 的 破 壞 之 處 。

於是約阿施王召了耶何耶大祭司和眾祭司來，說：“你們為甚麼不修理聖殿毀壞的地方呢？現在不要向你們熟識的人收取銀子，卻要把所收的交出來，修理聖殿毀壞的地方。”
